John brings four decades of commercial law and real estate experience to Ray White Rural Estates and Vineyards. He is an experienced lawyer with many years of practice as a Barrister and as a Solicitor throughout the Asia Pacific region.
After graduating in law from Melbourne University, John worked in customer service with Qantas. He then relocated to France where he gained experience in contract law. Following this he moved to the Asia-Pacific region where he established a significant legal presence as a Barrister and commercial lawyer including in Suva, Fiji. His commercial work in the Pacific involved local and international assignments, and led to a partnership with Thailand’s oldest law firm and a legal practice in Thailand spanning 20 years. This practice focused on trading resort properties and high end assets and sparked an interest in real estate broking. John’s skill set includes dispute resolution and closing skills. He believes in the importance of tailored marketing: “you cannot sell a secret!”
John also completed certificate studies in real estate in NSW and worked as a consultant trainer for the NSW Real Estate Institute after completing his license course in 2004. He discovered early on that the global market is essentially unaware of the property opportunities that Australia and New Zealand offer. This includes the incorrect assumption that foreign buyers cannot acquire Australian country property.
John has decades of experience assisting buyers and sellers make smarter property decisions, and brings a wealth of global commercial contacts to Ray White Rural Estates and Vineyards. He also brings a unique perspective to the trading of lifestyle and commercial country estates.
